With the recent spell of heavy rain and strong winds finally easing, it was the perfect opportunity for some much-needed maintenance work around the shelter.
Recent weather conditions had taken their toll on several areas, including ground coverings that help keep the shelter clean, safe, and comfortable for the dogs. Repairs and replacements were carried out to ensure everything remains in good condition as the seasons continue to change.
These practical improvements may seem small, but they make a big difference to daily life at the shelter. Well-maintained spaces help keep dogs healthier, provide safer environments, and allow more time for exercise and enrichment activities.
One of the biggest benefits of completing maintenance work is that it helps maximise the dogs' access to the run area, giving them more opportunities to play, explore, and enjoy time outside.
