Valentine’s Day was celebrated a little differently this year at Compassion for Greek Paws, with the dogs enjoying a special homemade meal prepared with love. ❤️🐾
After weeks of difficult weather and almost constant rain, it felt like the perfect opportunity to give the dogs something extra special.
Rather than providing traditional treats, a nutritious meal was prepared for the shelter residents, including fish, carefully cleaned of bones, cooked rice, and mixed vegetables. It was a simple gesture, but one that brought plenty of excitement and happy faces.
Even though the rain continued throughout the day, the weather certainly did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm. The dogs quickly tucked into their meals, and before long every bowl had been thoroughly cleaned and licked spotless.
A few of the dogs, including Koritsi, Raina, and Rihanna, would receive their special meals shortly afterwards, with more photos and updates to follow.
Fundraisers like this help provide not only essential care but also those little extras that bring comfort, enrichment, and joy to shelter dogs waiting for their forever homes.
