It was an important healthcare day this week at Compassion for Greek Paws as the senior vet visited the shelter to carry out the dogs’ yearly vaccinations for 2025.
All dogs at the shelter have now had their vaccinations completed, with health books fully updated and routine veterinary care brought up to date.
During the visit, the vet also praised the shelter for being clean, organised, and home to healthy and happy dogs — something that reflects the enormous amount of daily work, care, and dedication involved in running the shelter.
Most importantly, this vital veterinary work was only possible thanks to the immediate generosity and continued support of The Friends of the Strays of Greece and Lyn Purden, who kindly agreed to cover the full vaccination costs directly with the veterinary team.
Preventative healthcare is one of the most important parts of responsible rescue work, helping keep dogs safe, healthy, and protected.
