Special Shelter Visit Brings Joy for Dogs and Volunteers

Compassion For Greek Paws

Compassion for Greek Paws was delighted to welcome a special visitor to the shelter this week.

Tracy Faye, who has been visiting another rescue shelter in the area, kindly took the time to come and meet the dogs and volunteers here as well.

After heavy rain overnight, the shelter was especially muddy, but that did not stop Tracy from enjoying time with the dogs — or the dogs from enthusiastically covering her in muddy paw prints and affection.

During her visit, Tracy particularly fell in love with Henrietta and Annie, while energetic Nathan made a big impression with his endless bouncing and excitement. We are fairly certain that boy must have springs hidden in his paws somewhere. 🐾

Visits like these mean so much to rescue dogs. New faces, affection, attention, and positive interactions help provide enrichment and confidence for animals waiting for forever homes.

Thank you, Tracy, for your kindness, compassion, and for making the journey to see us. We hope you have a safe trip back to Canada next month and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
