Spring weather can be wonderfully unpredictable, and this week it certainly kept everyone at Compassion for Greek Paws on their toes.
What began as a normal day quickly turned into something quite unexpected when a sudden hailstorm arrived out of nowhere while Eli and Annie were enjoying their run time.
Within just a few minutes, the ground was covered in white and looked as though it had been snowing. ❄️
Unsurprisingly, the dogs were not entirely convinced that venturing out into the icy conditions was a good idea. While some watched the weather from a safe distance, others seemed happy to wait until the storm passed before continuing their adventures.
The changing weather also created a few extra challenges around the shelter. With transport already limited, the arrival of hail and freezing conditions added another layer of excitement to the day.
Life at an animal shelter is rarely predictable. One moment it's sunshine, the next it's hailstones, snow-like landscapes, and dogs questioning every life choice that brought them outside.
Thankfully, the storm passed as quickly as it arrived, leaving behind another memorable day at the shelter and another story to add to the growing collection of adventures shared with the dogs.
