Compassion for Greek Paws would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated towards our recent tree fundraising appeal.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, an amazing €240 was raised to help improve the shelter environment for the dogs.
After visiting several garden centres around Kozani, a selection of trees and shrubs was carefully chosen to provide additional shade and greenery around the run areas and dog pens. In Greece’s intense summer heat, shaded spaces are incredibly important for helping dogs stay cooler and more comfortable.
The new additions include:
- 1 large Ash tree
- 2 large Mulberry trees
- 2 Leyland trees
- 2 Ornamental Plum trees
- 1 small Mulberry tree
- 5 Privet plants
The layout was also planned carefully to ensure enough open space remains for tractors and deliveries of sand and gravel when shelter maintenance work is needed.
These trees will grow into a lasting improvement for the shelter, helping create a calmer, cooler, and more natural environment for the dogs in our care for years to come.
