Special Visitors Bring Cuddles and Support to the Shelter

Compassion For Greek Paws

It was a wonderful afternoon at Compassion for Greek Paws as we welcomed some very special visitors from Finland.

Paula Kangasmaa, her daughter Johanna Tuomola, and Triantafyllia Trou, who runs a rescue shelter in Ptolemaida, spent a few relaxing hours with the dogs and volunteers. Even the weather seemed determined to make the occasion special, with sunshine appearing just in time for their visit. 🌞

The timing could not have been better. The dogs had already enjoyed their morning routines, including cleaning, exercise, and feeding, leaving the afternoon free for what many of them enjoy most — extra attention, affection, and plenty of cuddles.

Visits like these are incredibly valuable for rescue dogs. Meeting new people helps provide enrichment, socialisation, and positive experiences, while giving supporters the chance to spend time with the animals they help care for.

As always, it was a pleasure to catch up, share stories, and enjoy the laughter that comes from bringing together people united by a love of animals — even if a little translation was occasionally required. 😊

Compassion for Greek Paws would also like to extend a sincere thank you to ARGOS Animal Rescue Greece for their generous donation towards food, which was sent directly to our supplier. Support like this helps ensure the dogs continue receiving the care and nutrition they need every day.

Thank you to our visitors for making the journey and spending time with the dogs. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

From Leanda and all the paws at Compassion for Greek Paws, thank you for your continued support. 🩵🇬🇷🐾❤️🐕
